Forest Floor Boudoir

The Hinterland Co-op designed the primary bedroom for the fifth annual Kingston Design Showhouse!

The opportunity to design for this project gives us a chance to explore themes and motifs that may not ever grace the home of our clients. It's a chance to test some design boundaries and dig into creating something wild and provocative from a place of deep collective interest. It's a chance to play.

Some words we were drawing from include rust, patina, decay, mycelium, conduit, opulence.

Some ideas wewere playing with: aging as a luxury, stretching time through creative process, information networks.

Other key inspiration: Victorian naturalists and Tony Duquette, because sometimes MORE IS MORE!
